  • I am a qualified Science and Mathematics Teacher and have been teaching and tutoring for almost 30 years. I obtained an Honours Degree and PhD in Biochemistry and a PGCE in Science and Mathematics

I am currently studying Medicine at Kings College London and am very keen to help pupils optimise their potential in Science and Maths. I know what it takes to achieve the highest grades. I secured 3 A*s for my A' Levels and nine grade 9s in my GCSE examinations. I have been tutoring for a number of years now and have helped many pupils succeed at GCSE and A' level. I now feel I have acquired the prerequisite expertise and experience extend my support a broader spectrum of pupils to achieve their dreams. I believe that the starting place for success is 'hard work' and if pupils are willing to invest their time and effort I will be able to help them succeed. From personal experience, I appreciate how challenging it is for pupils to apply for some of the most competitive courses (Medicine/Dentistry), prepare for the UCAT assessments and succeed at interviews. I was offered places in each of the universities i applied for and was successful in all my interviews for Medicine. All the candidates I have prepared for interviews have likewise been accepted for their desired courses. I feel extremely passionate about passing these skills on to pupils who may be struggling with conveying their feelings about their motives for medical courses at the moment.

Dr Malik was instrumental in allowing me to achieve these grades. Not only was he able to properly explain difficult topics/subjects which I didn't understand in school, due to his engaging method of teaching, but also, he provided me with the opportunity to go over exam papers together. This allowed me to understand exactly what the exam required me to do. By understanding the content and knowing how to answer questions appropriately, my confidence in all these topics improved allowing me to get the grades I got!

I attended tuition in order to prepare for my GCSE's in which Dr Malik helped extremely well. The teaching was always clear and concise and any problems or questions I had were answered. Every topic that was covered was covered in detail and exam style questions were also given in order to fully understand the topic. Question sheets were given every week to revise what I had learnt, and in the following lesson we would go over the following questions. I would definitely recommend as I found it very helpful and would not have been able to attain these grades if I had not been tutored by Dr Malik.

Dr Malik played a significant role in allowing me to gain A*s in all of these subjects. Before tuition, I was struggling with content which had a negative impact on my exam technique. However, following tuition with Dr Malik, I was able to gain confidence with the content in all subjects. Dr Malik also helped a lot with exam technique by allowing me to constantly apply what I've learnt to the relevant exam questions. Combined, this allowed me not only to properly understand the syllabus but also allowed me to develop my exam technique. Overall, my tuition experience was great!
